The first halfway house in Southern New Jersey, the Hendricks House, established in 1993, is located in Cumberland County. The facility began by providing 16 male beds to individuals recovering from alcoholism. Since that time, Hendricks House, Inc. has grown to 74 male beds and 34 female beds in Cumberland and Atlantic Counties. Hendricks House, Inc. is licensed by the Department of Human Services and is contracted with the Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services as a Fee For Service provider. We are also contracted with the eight southern New Jersey counties to provide substance use disorder treatment for their indigent residents in need, with Mutual Agreement Program, Drug Court, Work First, South Jersey Initiative, and DUII. To meet the ever increasing need for halfway house services in Southern New Jersey, Reynolds House, adjacent to Hendricks House, opened its doors as an expansion facility, increasing our Cumberland program to a total of 40 male beds.
